Male, 21
Offense: Theft, Program: LOC/HS
“I feel good and better about it after completing this book. It is a book that explains how to really change your life if you want to change it. It also worked as a guide on how to accept my actions and responsibilities. I learned a lot of things I hadn’t thought about before.”
Male, 63
Offense: Intoxication, Program: LOC/HS
“It brought things out that were in the back of my mind that I had to face that I probably never would had it not been for this workbook. It made me think what I want out of life and what I can do to make it happen.”
Female, 44
Offense: DUI, Program: LOC/HS
“I really liked this workbook. I have worked with counselors over the years and would go away feeling more frustrated than helped. This workbook gave answers and reasons why I feel the way I do, I felt validated. The last 5 to 7 pages became too repetitive and that was frustrating. It needs to be a little longer in the Drug and Alcohol Section; it’s too big a problem to just run through.”
Male, 46
Offense: Possession of Marijuana & False Information to a police officer, Program: LOC/HS
“It was very good and challenging. It hits all points of human life from differences between good and bad, we all know what bad is, human needs to anger management. To consequences of things to relationships and family, happiness, depression, it covered all the necessary points.”
Female, 21
Offense: Domestic Violence, Program: LOC/HS
“This workbook was helpful. It helped me realize that I need to think about my husband and son before I think of myself. It also showed me where I can improve my marriage and what I need to do to succeed in my marriage. I helped me understand why I’m they way I am.”
Male, 49
Offense: Vehicle Homicide, Program: LOC/HS
“I learned that in order to change you have to want to change and you can’t change others, only yourself. I learned that in order to be open with others you, have to be open with yourself. I learned that you must love yourself before you can love others. I learned that I am someone not something. And, I learned that I must be positive not negative to have a full, happy life.”
