Recommendations

We have three levels of group workbooks. Levels are determined by the average number of hours it takes to complete a workbook. If you are considering using our material, may we suggest you start out with a Level-Two Workbook. Level One is often too short and Level Three may be too much. Once you use a Level Two workbook, you can decide if it is adequate for your needs. ACCI Workbooks are futher divided into "group" and "home study" with two Spanish version workbooks denoted with an "HSS."

More About the Workbooks

You can also mix and match workbooks. For example, you can use the Home Study Workbooks for groups, as well. Just start out as a group and have your clients take their workbooks home where they work with their coach on the assigned unit(s). When they return to discuss it as a group, they are assigned the next unit(s).

Level I Workbooks ($12.00): These are designed to be given in 8 to 12 hours. Typically they are given in one day except for youth. We recommend that youth programs be limited to two hour sessions. Level One Workbooks are mostly for minor offenders.

Level II Workbooks ($15.00): These workbooks are designed to be given in 15 to 20 hours. A typical Level Two workbook has 8 to 10 units, each unit requires 2 hours to complete. Most agencies finish Level Two in a week's time. However, it could be given once a week for eight weeks. Level Two Workbooks are good for minor to hard core offenders. The Level II Workbooks are our most popular workbooks.

Level III Workbooks ($25.00): These workbooks are designed to be completed in 30 to 40 hours. They all have 12 units with each unit 8 pages long; requiring 2 to 2 1/2 hours to complete each unit. Level III Workbooks are best facilitated at least once a week. Level III Workbooks were designed for people with more serious problems that require a longer cognitive restructuring experience.
