Helping Family Members

If you have loved ones who are having emotional problems that don’t seem to go away, you can be a mentor (coach) and work together with them. Or you can send them a workbook and have them go through it with someone else. This material is not intended to substitute for counseling of serious mental health problems; professional counseling should be sought. However, for all others, the suggested workbooks will offer life changing experiences. So, if you are a parent, grandparent, sibling or good friend, and your loved one is having emotional pain and seems to be blocked with little progress, then we suggest the following:

Chemical abuse:
  Adult: ACLSA/HS (W 114)
  Youth: YCLSA (W 123)

Criminal activity:
  Adult: LOC/HS (W 112)
Criminal activity:
  Adult: AMCL/HS (W 111)
  Youth: YCLC-2 (W 121)
Criminal activity:
  Youth: YPCL/HS (W 124)

General Counseling:
  Adult: CCLC (W 105)
    Adult: PCLC (W 116)
    Youth: YCLC-3 (W 122)
    Youth: YPCL/HS (W 124)
