The Home Study workbooks
can be purchased by an agency or offenders can be referred to our nationwide
“TRACS” program. See TRACS
Program. Group counseling with an energetic facilitator is most always
best, but home study has some definite advantages.
Some advantages of
Home Study are: No classroom or instructors expense, less expensive to
offenders, no excuses for not attending class, no travel or weather problems,
no conflicts with job schedules, reaches others in the household, less
paperwork and processing, higher completion rate, (90% compared to 80%).
The Home Study
Workbooks can be purchased or your offenders can be referred to our nationwide
TRACS Program where we will send them a workbook and do all the follow

used workbooks, there are no FWS. |

Anger Management Cognitive Lifeskills for Home Study (AMCL/HS), is 8 units on 60 pages. It is for domestic violence, assault, self deception or threatening behavior. It is not an ordinary anger management workbook. It is a new and unique approach to the lack of self control. It focuses on faulty thinking, self deception, justification and resistant behavior. It uses cognitive restructuring to intervene at the deepest level where permanent change can take place.

Lifeskills Offender Corrections for Home Study (LOC/HS), for criminals is 10 units on 60 pages. This workbook is for all offenders both misdemeanor and felony. It is a powerful workbook full of new science that can assist people in changing their lives. It comes as a self contained packet which includes evaluations, an affidavit and a completion certificate. Average time to complete is 22 hours and the offender must choose someone to act as a coach.
This workbook, like all other ACCI Home Study workbooks, is initiated by a special faxed referral form from a court or probation department. The offender then has 30 days to return his commpleted workbook with their fee for grading and processing to receive a completion certificate. Driver Responsibility Course for Home Study (DRC/HS), for traffic offenders, is 8 units on 54 pages. This is a unique workbook with a blend of cognitive restructuring plus traditional traffic school curriculum. It is designed for problem drivers with a history of traffic violations. It is especially good for speed violators, those with road rage or other attitude or behavior problems, and those who habitually drive without a license or insurance. Cognitive restructuring works very well with this population. This is excellent for teenagers as well as adults.

Adult Cognitive Lifeskills Substance Abuse (ACLSA/HS) is 8 units on 64 pages. It is the same as the ACLSA (W 118), only reformatted as a home study workbook. The ACLSA/HS is for all people 16 years and older. Like our other home study workbooks, a coach is required to work with the student. One advantage of home study is that it goes into the home and can affect more than one person.

Contentious Relationships of Divorced or Divorcing Couples for Home Study (CRDC/HS) is 8 units on 60 pages. The workbook was designed with three goals in mind: (1) reduce court dockets through mediation; (2) reduce the harm to children in contentious divorced; and (3) reduce contention between divorcing couples.
This workbook was not designed to heal broken marriage/relationships, but if it did that would be a bonus. Also, if every couple planning to get married were required to complete this workbook first, many would not marry because of becoming "self aware" of potential "hidden" problems with their intended mate.
