CCLC:
The Community Cognitive Lifeskills Course is available in three different versions: A, B, & C.
Version A is for criminal offenders. It is, for example, currently being used by the Michigan Department of Correction as a mandated pre-release program.
Version B is for international use; all American references have been removed.
Version C is for non-criminal populations like welfare agencies.
Similar to our youth and drug abuse programs, the CCLC workbooks make use of a form of historical fiction to deliver its message. The workbooks follow real families and individuals (names changed) from research conducted in Kerrville, Texas by Larry Lloyd, the National Director of ACCI.
The CCLC Workbooks, like other of ACCI's workbooks, including the new workbooks for anger management, AMCL/HS, and contentious relationships for divorced or divorcing couples, CRDC/HS, read like historical fiction, based on real life experiences both love stories and tragedies. The stories bring the material to life which further enhances the cognitive experience.
The CCLC is best facilitated in 12 sessions. Each session lasts about 2-1/2 hours. Like all ACCI programs,
we have hundreds of testimonials on how this program has helped participants change years of self defeating thoughts and behaviors. See
