It's easy to get started with ACCI Lifeskills!

  1. For group workbooks Just follow the few simple steps below.

    1. Decide which workbook(s) you want to use and how many students for your first class.
    2. Order the Training Kit with the related instructor guide(s), (FWS) and workbooks.
    3. View the training video and read the training materials (MFG & FWS) at least twice.
    4. With the Facilitator's Workbook Supplement (FWS) in hand, step into your class and start with the page on objectives, agreements and personal report, page 1. In the workbooks with pre- and post-tests, have them take the pretest.
    5. Break your class into small groups of 6 to 8 students. Have each group choose a small group leader and have them start with Unit 1.
    6. Assign the pages to be accomplished (usually three per class hour). At the beginning of the next class or hour, start as a large group and facilitate the pages covered by the small groups.
    7. Break them into small groups again, assign pages and repeat the process until the workbook is finished.
    8. Take advantage of role-playing, group games and activities, and homework assignments, if appropriate. You could play soft rock, inspirational or oldies-type instrumental music during class. Appropriate music can help students to be more receptive to the ideas presented.
    9. Stay on the "main road," but don't be afraid to explore side canyons. Some of the best time in class is where the students take it with their observations about life.
    10. Soak in what is said and shared by your students. Be your best, most upbeat self. Offer unconditional caring. Be their friend, but keep your professional distance. Read and study the evaluations. Think, ponder and meditate to get ready for your next class.
